LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer Review

Another product I received in my Naturals Influenster VoxBox for testing was the LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer.  I am lip product obsessed, so I was excited to try this out.  I've always got chapstick or lip balm/gloss in my pocket, bag, or near by.

LypSyl is a lip balm made with pure Swedish Beeswax.  It has a pleasant minty flavor and scent.  It contains coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamins A & E.  The tube holds .1 oz/2.83 g, a normal chapstick container holds .15 oz/4 g.  Unlike other chapstick type containers, it doesn't have the typical screw type bottom to lift the product out of the tube.  The tube looks larger, so you would expect it to hold more.

LypSyl has a cute bee slide mechanism that pushes the product up.  You have to push it with some pressure to get it to move. I think this is a great idea because when I keep my chapsticks in my pocket sometimes the screw mechanism can push the product into the cap and make a mess.  Since you have to push the bee kind of hard I don't see this happening as often.  With the cold weather coming up in the North East, I would actually feel comfortable giving this to my kids to use since they are always ruining my chapsticks with the screw mechanisms.

The very first time I used it I thought it was a little greasy, but I used my normal lip product later in the day (another minty beeswax chapstick) and its about the same.  So the verdict, LypSyl not greasy.  Atleast no more greasy than any other brand that I've used.

I've never seen LypSyl in stores, but I went on their website www.lypsylhome.com and it is available at most major drugstores and online at www.drugstore.com.  I'll definitely keep an eye out for it in the future the next time I need a lip product refill.
